About The Founder

Dr. Bruce Holub is University Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, at the University of Guelph and Senior Scientific Advisor to Lipid Analytical Laboratories Inc. within the University of Guelph Research Park Centre.

He received his Ph. D. degree from the University of Toronto (Biochemistry and Nutrition) followed by post-doctoral research as an MRC Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School.

He has served as President, Nutrition Society of Canada, and has authored over 200 papers in medical and nutrition journals along with over 400 invited lectures in 20 different countries. Dr. Holub’s research program has been devoted to the health benefits of EPA/DHA omega-3 fatty acids from fish/fish and algal oils (for updates see his web site at www.dhaomega3.org) including the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease and the importance of DHA omega-3 from breast milk in supporting optimal infant health.
